Each year this fall home and garden event presents new products, innovative ideas, and expert advice. This year's fall show presents a record number of exhibits - 285! This year's show is themed "Gnome Place Like Home!" Why gnomes? Because the show exhibitors are a bit like gnomes - magically transforming houses into dream homes! Opening Friday, the show will present 90 NEW exhibiting firms. Attendees will find more landscapers, retail shopping options, talented woodworkers and craftspeople! Holiday shoppers, start your engines! Throughout the show, you'll find everything from flower bulbs, Giant Mums and Gourmet Food, to Barbeque Grills! The "Shoppes on Stage" presents unique & luxurious home décor, holiday gifts and chocolates, up on the North Hall Stage. St. Vincent's will be presenting a room full of English antiques and unique, one-of-a-kind items for sale! The 5th Annual Designer's Floral & Foliage Decorate-A-Door Parade will present five themed floral door vignettes that include: "There's No Place Like Gnome" by Eugene's Flower Home, "SugarPlums Ghouls & Gargoyles" by SugarPlums Fleurs, "An Heirloom Feast of Welcomes" by Territorial Seed, "Stars Light Up Your Entrance" by Sweet Peas Gardening & Design, and "All Ducked Out for Autumn", by The Lily Pad Bulb Farm. New, to this year's show, is the Remodel It, NOW! series: 15 seminars by the area's best experts have been developed to address the range of topics typically discussed in the contractor's exhibit at the show. The next Mushroom Festival is schedule for Sunday, October 25, 2009. This festival features a broad range of fungi collected throughout western Oregon. Experts are on hand during the show to help with mushroom identification. Don't miss our annual fall celebration of mushrooms and the harvest season, co-presented by Mount Pisgah Arboretum, the Cascade Mycological Society and Lane Community College.
