King Estate, celebrating 20 years of Oregon winemaking in 2011, is located southwest of Eugene, Oregon and produces Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and limited amounts of Chardonnay. Founded in 1991 by the King family, King Estate is committed to producing Oregon wines of exceptional quality using organic & sustainable farming methods, meticulous fruit selection, impeccable winemaking practices and judicious blending.
The beautiful estate of 1,033 acres is certified organic and includes 470 acres of organic vineyards, as well as 30 acres of fruits, vegetables, and flowers. The Estate is crowned by the charming, European-style winery, where the winemaking process is also certified organic.
The King Estate Restaurant opened in May of 2006 and has since become known for its exceptional gourmet menu. Our culinary team, led by Executive Chef Michael Landsberg, is highly talented in wine and food pairing, and creates dishes featuring vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers grown in our organic gardens and orchards.
Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, the restaurant is founded on a dedication to enhancing the wine experience. If you are interested in making a reservation please contact The Restaurant at 1-541-685-5189.
NO TOXIC CHEMICALS. Organic Farming as practiced at King Estate means several things. First, we use no herbicides on the property. Herbicides affect organisms living in the soil, interrupting or destroying natural processes. Herbicides can result in the build up of unwanted chemicals in soils that actually inhibit healthy plant growth. Herbicides and pesticides also affect birds, mammals and other species and can find their way into surface and ground water. They can be dangerous to humans working around them. Needless to say, we don’t use toxic chemicals, or anything that is not allowed by USDA recognized certifying agencies like Oregon Tilth.
