Steelhead Brewing Company began brewing in December 1990 and opened its doors on January 22, 1991, bringing fresh, quality beers to Eugene, Oregon. Steelhead's state-of-the art 10-barrel brewery has a production capacity of 130 barrels a month. The ales are brewed using a single-step infusion all-grain process.

Location:

The brewpub is located on 5th Street in downtown Eugene, just a stone's throw from the University of Oregon and Interstate 5, near the junction of the Willamette and McKenzie rivers. If you are looking for us, we are on the north-west corner of 5th and Pearl. The parking lot driveway is off of Pearl Street behind us, and there is more parking on the south-west corner of 5th and Pearl, out front.

The Pub:

The spacious pub has seating for 152 thirsty and hungry guests inside, and on sunny days, another 40 outside. Behind the long cherry-stained mahogany bar is a large picture window where customers can watch the brewers at work. Steelhead has a comfortable English pub appeal. Note the authentic red and glass English phone booth in the center of the pub as the pay phone is located there. The highly textured stone and brick walls have warm mahogany wainscoting and are covered with charming antique signs. Terra cotta tile graces the floor in the bar area, with dark oak flooring in the dining room. Oversize wingback chairs add a sense of privacy, while large palms and ficus trees overlook the mahogany tables.Comfortable bent wood chairs and barstools, both with backs, are available to help you relax while you sip one of our award-winning ales.

The Food:

Our full service restaurant kitchen whips up all menu items from scratch, offering an eclectic array of foods; from appetizers to burgers to soups, salads, fish & chips, steak, pastas, and a good selection of seafood dishes. And don't forget dessert, like our Brewery Brownie a-la-mode, made with Stout and served with caramel and chocolate sauces, whipped cream, and walnuts.

The Beers:

Our flagship ales; Hefeweizen, Raging Rhino Red, Bombay Bomber India Pale Ale are available year round alongside a rotating stout or porter, plus several seasonal or specialty beers.

Other Beverage Choices:

If you are not the beer-imbibing type, the brewers are proud to offer two root beers: Steelhead Original Spicy Draft, which is spicy enough to stand up to two scoops of vanilla and makes the best rootbeer float in town; and our new bottled Honey Vanilla Root Beer, which is popular with the children for its gentle root beer flavor. Steelhead also offers a full service bar serving cocktails, as well as west coast wines by the glass, a commercially made non-alcoholic beer, juices and soda.
