Hop Valley Brewing Company

Hops were a large agricultural crop in the Willamette Valley in the late 1800's through the early 1900's and were eventually replaced by other crops only as Prohibition wiped out the demand.

At that time the confluence of the McKenzie and Willamette Rivers were home to some of the largest hop farms in the USA. In fact, Seavey's Hop Farm was located near where the brewery sits and extended south, east and north on both sides of the McKenzie River.

Several other large hop farms were located nearby in Santa Clara, Crow, Coburg and the Goshen area. Deadman's Ferry just a mile or so from here, transported the crops over the river before any bridges were built.

It is from this heritage, that Hop Valley Brewing Company has sprung. Fresh, local hops are an important part of our brewing process, along with grains and yeasts, also grown right here in Oregon and the Northwest.

Our beers are crafted with pride right here on the premises by our Brew Master, Trevor Howard, also a local product. Trevor was born in Eugene, as were his father and grandfather. His great-grandfather was born in Riddle, Oregon in 1895. A graduate of the OSU Fermentation Science program in 2004, Trevor has already won over forty medals at national and international beer tasting competitions, such as the Great American Beer Festival, World Beer Championships, U.S. Beer Tasting Championships, North American Beer Awards, Australian International Beer Awards and the Great International Beer Festival.

Our restaurant and tap house cater to the "Beer Geek", but also the business traveler and families that are out to enjoy great food and drink in a comfortable, fun atmosphere. Our food is prepared using local, sustainable and organic products whenever possible, based on seasonality and availability.

We offer catering services for groups of all sizes. We offer items from our restaurant menu and several others unique to our catering service, with complete bar and beverage service, including all of our award winning beers. Our custom designed menus fit any occasion you desire, fully staffed or partial, what ever fits your needs.
